A Route 66 landmark is closing its doors on March 12, 2005. The Rose Bowl in Tulsa, Oklahoma first opened in 1962. The pink, domed building was a big attraction in Midtown Tulsa and for Route 66 travelers. The lanes and equipment will be removed from the bowling center near 11th and Memorial, and the building will be sold.
